TALLER DAN
TallerDan is a trailblazing artist renowned for his innovative fusion of rap and soca, creating a dynamic sound that pushes boundaries. His hit single "Sucka Bag" showcases his creative style, blending infectious rhythms with sharp lyrics that have captured the attention of fans worldwide.

DALISE LOCKHART
Dalise Lockhart is a multi-talented model and the proud 2nd runner-up of Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2023, known for her grace, poise, and passion for empowering others. As co-owner of Nuu Gen, she blends her entrepreneurial spirit with her dedication to spotlighting emerging talent and bridging cultures through music and entertainment.

RUSS
Russ, a rising Soca artist with Trinidadian roots, was born in Florida and moved to New York City at age 10. Inspired by his father's involvement in music, he taught himself to play drums and later pursued singing. At 18, he composed his first songs, "Lock Yuh Down" and "Everything Dutty," and gained recognition with "Front and Center," which amassed 700k streams on Spotify. During the pandemic, Russ deepened his industry knowledge and collaborated on "We Here," highlighting Soca's resilience. His latest hit, "Soca People" featuring Shal Marshall, has further propelled his career. Russ aspires to bring Soca to the Grammys and achieve billboard success while staying true to his passion for creating music for the people.

EEMPEY SLICKER
Born Miguel Paul in St. Lucia, Eempey Slicker, influenced by artists like Tupac, Nas, Dr. Dre, and Eminem, stands out as a unique Hip Hop artist with Caribbean reggae and soca roots. At Kimone Music Studios in Long Island, he has connected with notable figures such as Gyptian, Ricky Blaze, and DJ Magic of Hot 97. As he gained knowledge and connections within the music industry, he pursued his dream of becoming a recording artist, driven by his ambition to achieve great success in his career.

SEDALE
Sedale Simei, a powerhouse in the Soca arena of Saint Lucia, first competed on the Soca Monarch finals stage in 2011 with "Nah Stop Whining." He gained recognition in 2014 with "Pandemonium" produced by Wild Fire. Sedale's tunes have become a staple for the Saint Lucia Carnival with hits like "Neighbour," "Stick On You," "No Joke," and "Push Back." Currently, he has released "Wet Me Down" and is working on a Kompa-style release. Sedale is also a talented writer and producer, creating masterpieces for local artists and collaborating with regional artists like Preedy on "Land I Love" and "Drop That."

DJ TEK RAVERS
Tek, a multifaceted international entertainer with Guyanese heritage, embraces a diverse musical style that spans Hip Hop, Soca, Dancehall, R&B, Afrobeat, and Amapiano. Born in Albany, NY, Tek joined Ravers Clavers as a dancer in 2012 and began his DJ career in 2013. He currently manages an agency for influencers and creatives, owns a dance studio, and has coordinated concerts for notable artists like Pop Smoke and Cardi B. His journey began with creating comedic vines, which led to a substantial following on Instagram. Now focused on releasing more music, Tek aims to make a significant impact, driven by his aspiration to generate generational wealth and his motto of "Never Underestimate Us Generation."

BOOGY RANKSS
Boogy Rankss is a professional producer and DJ with a sound that provides quality like no other. Born in London, UK, raised in New York City, with a blend of St. Kitts and Nevis and Belize by his mother and father respectively, Boogy definitely shows his uniqueness through his talents. He is responsible for producing “Ba Ba Ben (Wine and Ben Pt 2)” by DJ Cheem, “Take Bamboo” by Melick and “Look Back” by Lyrikal to name a few. So far Boogy has been able to reach 100 Million streams on all musical platforms, solidifying him as a force in the Soca industry.

DJ KALLI
DJ Kalli is an international DJ/Producer with a passion for the art of music. Growing up in Brooklyn with a St. Lucian background allowed Kalli to infuse the edginess of NYC with the tranquility of the Caribbean to create a unique style that moves any audience he’s in front of. Kalli is known for being the Official DJ for Taller Dan and DJ Cheem, as well as the work done with performers such as Marzville and Denise Belfon. He was also honored with opening sets for artists such as Aidonia, Gyptian and Dexta Daps.

K - STARR
Kemar Forrester, known as K-Starr, is a rapper, singer, and dancer from Kingston, Jamaica, now based in New York City. His breakout singles, "Walking Dead" and "In My Bed," showcase his ability to blend groovy beats with thought-provoking messages and soulful storytelling. K-Starr's dedication to preserving reggae's authenticity while infusing it with his unique perspective has made him a rising star in both local and international reggae scenes. His genuine expression of Jamaican culture and collaboration with talent scout Misty Blanco position him as an artist to watch in the coming years.

TARL BOII
Antiguan born with Dominican roots, Joel George “Tarl Boii” is an Afro swing artist, influenced by Afro beats and UK Hip Hop. In August 2021, he made his debut with his song “Pride” which had over 30,000 views on YouTube, and countless radio plays from various stations in Antigua and worldwide. After dropping a few singles in 2022, Tarl Boii has now released a brand new project for 2023, by the name AWOL. AWOL gives you an insight of a chapter in the artist’s life, that resonates with many, through an emotional connection.

KING SMOKE
Dominic “King Smoke” McKenzie and official road manager of NuuGen, was born in the nature island of Dominica, and raised in America's Paradise Islands, St.Croix,US Virgin Islands. With a natural ear for musical talent, and also the ability to play music, Dominic’s goal is to connect all the dots and provide positive entertainment. He aspires to create impactful content throughout the world and for future generations to come.

ICE SHOT PRODUCTIONS
Ice, a Guyanese-born, Antiguan-raised, Brooklyn-developed artist, has mastered creating, directing, and producing. In 2020, he fully invested in his business, Iceshot Photography & Videography. His talent is evident in projects like "Ba Ba Ben" by DJ Cheem and "Good Oye" by Tallerdan, which were 2020 summer hits. Recent works include "Wings" by Lil Natty & Thunda, "Leggo De Mas" by Spikey Vybz, "Reminisce" by SGEE & Anika Berry, and the YouTube hit "December Freestyle" by Pook Hustle. Each project showcases Ice's vivid imagination and creative vision.

ASHLEY
RAMCHARAN
Ashley Ramcharan is Indo-Guyanese and the assistant editor for the Indo-Caribbean team here at Brown Girl Magazine. She developed a passion for social justice and women’s rights while enrolled at Hamilton College, where she majored in Sociology. She currently works for a marketing agency where she does media analytics. In her free time, she can be found painting, winging her eyeliner or playing with her bunny, Stormy.

BRIA WALKER
Bria Walker, a Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager based in Houston, Texas, is a recent graduate from the University of Houston. With over four years of experience in crafting digital content and campaigns, she has worked on websites, online advertisements, social media campaigns, and brand identity design for clients such as the Texas Caribbean Students Organization, the Socialites Marketing Group, and Vibrationzz Mas. Bria, born to Grenadian parents, has collaborated with many in the Houston Caribbean community and aims to expand her reach in 2025 and beyond.

Boston native and born to Haitian parents Tamara has remained connected to her Caribbean roots through music, community and language. Artist and Stylist of Nuugen, Tamara has spent years modeling, influencing fitness, writing and recording music. Upon her recent relocation to Houston, she plans on connecting with the Houston Caribbean community and many more cities to come.
